The start of what I hope to become a larger project through the rest of the year. Years ago I did some portraits with the Original Rudes and I’ve been wanting to work with them again. This project has been kicking around my head for quite a while and I finally myself organized last week.

I’ve got some great ideas for this, so stay tuned!

I’ve had the idea of doing this series of portraits for quite a while. Concept was simple: girl, on a bed, with money. Same setup with as many different models as I could organize in different settings.

Through a crazy few weeks of shooting and getting these ready for the art show I threw the project took some interesting turns, however it turned out great and I was very happy to have gotten it out of my head.

I am excited to announce my first high-circulation magazine cover. In truth, the model Niki did all the work, and it was a surprise to both of us when we say the magazine this month. The photo is from a shoot over a year ago.. and she has a heck of a lot more tattoos now so it looks like we’ll need to do another session!

Back in the fall I photographed some art at Bird Dog Video. They have a art show every year to celebrate Alfred Hitchcock films. This year folks made little dioramas/photo boxes. Here are a few of my favorites.

The Corta Vita recently reunited for a few ‘final shows’. This is a band I was quite involved with years ago, photographing a lot of live shows and doing some promotional photographs for them.

I drove up to Edmonton to see them play at the Baby Seal Club with Edmonton’s Bayonets!!! It was a very nostalgic show and great to have musicians in front of my camera again.

These images are from my first pinup session in a long time. It was fun to get back into it and revved up for a new calendar I am working on with a great team of people.

Last year Chelsea Klukas contacted me about my Holga photography. She was putting together a book of photographers from around the world who used toy cameras. I was very excited and organized a selection of images to submit. The book was ready ages ago but I just got around to ordering my own copy before Christmas. It was self published using Lulu and I was quite impressed at the quality and how it all turned out. Good job Chelsea!
