Tattoo Magazine Cover

May 19th, 2010

I am excited to announce my first high-circulation magazine cover. In truth, the model Niki did all the work, and it was a surprise to both of us when we say the magazine this month. The photo is from a shoot over a year ago.. and she has a heck of a lot more tattoos now so it looks like we’ll need to do another session!

Toy Cameras – My photos published in a book!

March 1st, 2010

Last year Chelsea Klukas contacted me about my Holga photography. She was putting together a book of photographers from around the world who used toy cameras. I was very excited and organized a selection of images to submit. The book was ready ages ago but I just got around to ordering my own copy before Christmas. It was self published using Lulu and I was quite impressed at the quality and how it all turned out. Good job Chelsea!

Huge Photography is published in PDN’s Top Knots photography contest

April 16th, 2009

PDN (Photo District News) holds a Wedding Photography contest every year called Top Knots. This year I entered and was printed in the magazine! I am really excited about this, and I think the image printed pretty darn well.

The photo is from Susie and Drew’s wedding this past summer. It was a really fun day that got us access to a quiet Fort Edmonton Park.

Anywho, I’m really excited, so have a look here at the original image and a few snaps from the magazine. Visit this site to see all the other winners!

2009 Flora Calendar

November 3rd, 2008

Hello folks! This year I have just done one calendar (sorry). Images are of some macro beauties from my travels around central and western Canada. I am quite excited about it and expect a proof back from the printers later this week.

Get your pre-orders in now as I’m not printing too many!

I got a new car!

October 17th, 2008

So I got a new car recently and we went for our first official sweet day of driving this week. Drove down to Longview to get some of their famous beef jerky and then drove around Kananaskis country and south for a long tour of beautiful gravel roads… 400+ kms and one dirty car made for an excellent day!

The major goal of the day was to get a great photo of the southern prairies, which I hope I did as it is a gift for a very good friend. Here is an image from the day:

More images will trickle out as I have time.

Jason Welke

April 10th, 2008

I just found out an old friend from college passed away this week.

We lost track of Jason almost right after school, as with so many people who became close friends, life goes on and we all went our seperate ways. I remember sitting beside Jason having a lot of laughs and not getting a heck of a lot done in the back of Paul’s class as he made ridiculous drawings instead of whatever we were supposed to be paying attention too.

My heart goes out to Jason’s family and friends.

To all the people I have remained close to since college, I trully appreciate the friendship and adventures we have been on.

Redbull Rampage 2002

February 13th, 2008

So I am digging through some old old places on my computer, and I found the super8 film I shot at the 2nd Redbull Rampage.

Watching this brought back a lot of great memories of that crazy weekend, hanging around with idols in the mountain bike industry, watching and shooting the progression of the professional end of the sport.

Truly an incredible experience, even if it took 24 hours to get from Virgin Utah to Fernie BC! Don’t sleep and drive folks!
